Over the last 9 years, coaching has become a big part of Coach Stith’s life, but her passion for the sport started many years ago as a player herself.
As a native of Chino Hills, CA, Coach Stith played for Ruben S. Ayala High School and also the Orange County Batbusters. Upon graduation in 2005, she headed north to Reno, NV to attend the University of Nevada.
From 2006-2009, Coach Stith played a big role in the growth of the newly built Wolfpack softball program which was reinstated in 2004. As a catcher and team captain, she helped lead the Wolfpack to three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championships (2006, 2008, 2009) and three NCAA regional bids.
In 2009, Coach Stith graduated from UNR with dual degrees in Business Management and Marketing. Upon graduating, she started her career working for Frito Lay and would stay with the company for nearly 10 years holding various roles from management to finance, human resources, and sales.
In 2015, Coach Stith returned to Southern California and immediately jumped back in to coaching with the Orange County Batbusters and also began to give catching lessons. Coach Stith quickly realized coaching was her true passion and would eventually decide to pursue a full-time career in the sport.
She has held various head coach and assistant coach roles over the years and currently leads an 18u Batbusters team out of Orange County and also supports several other teams within the organization. This past summer, Coach Stith's 14u Batbusters team won the Alliance Fastpitch National Championship, a top national event.
In December 2018, Coach Stith was hired by JSerra to lead the Lions softball team and is now heading into her 6th season.
The Lions have experienced a lot of growth in her first five years. Last season, the Lions made program history by finishing second in Trinity League with a 19-11 record (the most wins since 2007) and the team’s most ever wins in Trinity League play.
The Lions also recorded the first two CIF postseason victories in program history.
