Kirk Orahood began coaching at JSerra in 2008 as the Head Tennis Coach for the boys and girls programs. Coach Orahood is a 35+ year certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association. During this time, Orahood developed 2 ATP Wimbledon players (Michael Briggs and Devin Bowen), other ATP professionals, D1 scholarship athletes and many college club players, and his own kids were both D1 scholarship athletes.

Along with his twin brother, Keith; the Orahood’s have turned the Lions’ program into one of Orange County’s top contenders. JSerra is the proud home of 3-time Trinity League Champions, Danny Day, Jadie Acidera and Mary Kaffen among other Trinity League Individual Champions.  JSerra has 4 Trinity League Team Championships, 2 CIF finalist boys’ teams and most recently, the girls team captured the 2021 D2 CIF Championship!

This is a true, 4-year no-cut program and every student at JSerra is welcome to learn and play tennis.  In the 2022 boys’ season, JSerra rostered the first ever wheel-chair athlete to compete in Orange County on a tennis team!

The JSerra Tennis program is a family-oriented team based on Faith, Intellect and Character.
